When I am trying to deploy the VM from LCS for GIT project (in Azure DevOps), getting below error:The configured Visual Studio Team Services project 'XXXXXX' does not have the correct version control setup. Only Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC) is supported. Please use a project that has TFVC support or add TFVC as an additional version control for the current project. Does LCS support GIT project to deploy VM or not?

TFVC is the only source control repository that is supported. Git isn't supported.

At what stage you get this error? GIT is not supported officially, but there are a couple of articles on the Internet on how to use git instead of TFVC (including build pipeline).

Are you deploying a cloud-hosted environment or something else? To be honest it's quite strange that you get an error during deployment as the repository is mapped when VM is deployed. But maybe you need to have empty TFVC repo as well.
But be sure that you understand all risk using git as it's not officially supported.
