Hi,
I have some queries related to cycle counting using a mobile scanner that has Dynamics warehousing app installed in it.
1. I created a work for cycle counting for a location. During counting (I am using a menu with 'user directed' work selection), the app prompts me to key-in the item code followed by color and serial number (I am keying in and not scanning). If I enter a serial number which does not exist in stock, then an error is given as "serial number not valid". I am allowed to continue only after entering a correct serial number which existed in stock. Is this Ok from a functional point of view? In real scenario, I may have serial number A001 in system stock (probably someone wrongly registered it) but the physical stock can have A002. I should be allowed to correct it during counting and proceed, right? Please share your thoughts.
2. I created a work for cycle counting for a location. During counting (I am using a menu with 'system directed' work selection), system automatically display items in the location (without me scanning/ keying-in anything) and prompts me to key in the qty. If I enter a quantity that is different from system stock, an error is thrown as "count differs from on-hand qty. if required, repeat the count". I have no option to tell that I want to proceed further with the quantity I entered. Please let me know I am missing something here.
3. Another observation in above scenario (point 2) is - System automatically takes the serial number from system stock. There is no provision for me to scan or key-in the serial number. In real scenario I may count a serial number that is different from the system stock.
4. Is there a way to recount, if some of the counted lines are rejected? The requirement is to automatically initiate a recount only for the rejected lines.

Sreehari.
