Hi guys,
According to Microsoft the number of server is quite high. I do not get the idea of it like: 3 AD servers, 2 pre-production environment servers, 3 production servers, 3 orchestrator servers for each environment.
Is it really mandatory? i mean it said "minimum"
There are also 1 DEV environment and 1 BUILD environment on LCS. Seems like it is not so on-premises, only for business data
Can someone tell me what orchestrator? some where in that article it said 3 is mandatory
I am planning to have 2 physical servers with Windows Server Data center 2016 so i can have as much as it requires for number of VMs and mix those VMs on physical servers so if 1 physical server is down, another one can still handle (like 2 production VMs could be on Physical server 1 (2 VMs) and on physical server 2 (1 VMs) ). Is it OK to do so?
How about PowerBI? is it supported Dynamics 365 on-premises edition in the way with on cloud edition? is there any downside?
FCI and AG are supported for SQL Server? Should i go with FCI as i have SAN devices and license can be Standard, no need SQL enterprise edittion
