Automatic assignment of fuel surcharges to shipments

I have the fuel surcharge configured in Transportation management, but was wondering if there is a way to automatically assign these charges without manually going through the rate route workbench? Any ideas, preferably out of the box solutions, but anything is appreciated.

I added miscellaneous charges for fuel, and it is working as I needed.

I figured out that if I fake out the rate base with a P2PContract price of 0 and set the miscellaneous charge up for fuel it works. Thanks.

Hi,
I haven't found an out-of-the-box way for the system to allocate these expenses automatically. You may consider third-party customization for rate automation.
