Unified Interface Lookup Change View Option allows user to select all the views instead on Selected Views Only

Posted on by 35

Environment: Dynamics 365 v9.0 On-Premise

I have a lookup in Unified interface and I have selected to "Show Selected Views". In the Unified Interface, I have the option change view and I can select any view, while the in Classic Interface only selected views are available. Is there a way to restrict the users from changing view in Unified Interface?

Change View Option is available and it gives all the views instead of selected views.

I have also tried the option View Selector = "Off" but I still see Change View option and can select any of the views.

    Hello Taj,

This should work as documented here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/model-driven-apps/form-designer-add-configure-lookup

Please consider opening a support request on https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support to get help troubleshooting and resolving that issue.

    Hello Mian,

I haven't seen this issue in the past, but Unified Interface on Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement v9.0 on-premise is very limited and it has a lot of parity gaps or even issues that have been fixed online.

I'm curious as to why you would want to deploy it on-premise and not use the web client instead?
It's important that your customer understands that the web client on Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement on-premise is NOT deprecated.
This is specifically called out here:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/model-driven-apps/faqs-transition-unified-interface#how-does-this-move-impact-on-premises-customer-and-what-will-happen-when-the-web-client-is-deprecated-do-web-client-forms-become-unsupported
So the web client will still be supported for them, as long as their on-premise version is supported.
Support lifecycle for every product is detailed here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/search

Regarding this specific issue, I advise that you check with support:

    Hi Akash,

    Thanks for your response.

Yes, Web Client and UCI version are both using same form.

Please note that this issue we are experiencing is in Dynamics 365 v9.0 On-Premise.

    Hi Partner,

I would suggest to verify once if you are selecting the same form in web client and in UCI version and that specific form is already added into a UCI App.

Here are the reference link which can be referred to hide the change view option
