Add files to a journal as an approver of same journal

Hi
We have a workflow setup for our GL journal entries.

When an approver get the journal, he/she download the file for review. Is it possible to update the file with a comment or add a new file as in this stage of the workflow?

Are you referring to a file added as an attachment, you need to add a new one when workflow status is in review?

Yes, we want to be able to add douments when the workflow is in review.

when a user is starting a workflow they have attached a document verifing the booking. When the journal ends up with the approver, sometimes they want to add extra documentation verifing the booking.

Hi Maria,

A solution may be to use the document handling feature in Dynamics. Be default all tables are unlocked and attachments can be added under certain conditions, but you can enable "document handing" to restrict any table that is not defined in the setup. You can then enable the journal table to "always enabled", in that way documents can be added or removed regardless of the approval status.

A few things to bear in mind, once document handling is enabled, you must define all the tables that attachments will be available. Also, there is the risk that attachments can be deleted or changed at any time.
