Bad email addresses. How to identify these and display notification on the Contact Record ?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We have many emails that go undelivered for whatever reason..

Is there someway to identify that a mail was not delivered and record this on the Contact/Email entity  ?  eg issue with email address

We hope to add a warning when the Contact form loads..

thank you for your help.

You can do Advanced find & search for Email messages, the status will be sent, pending send, etc

Users send from a generic address. The issue is not so much why it’s happening, since there’s many reasons for soft/hard bounce. The question is how to identify mail that hasn’t been delivered .. how to see these in Dynamics ?

So users, send these from their own email address or from some generic email address? WHats the email address used? I have seen that sometimes if the emails are being sent from a generic email i.e. info@some.com or admin@some.com, the exchange block these emails as an spam on the recipient email.

We’re sending emails from Sales > Activity Wall > create email .. Some customers report they received no email, others provided malformed emails. Is there anyway to track undelivered mail in Dynamics ?  Or does the customer have to report it .. thanks

    Hi,

Could you please share some details about how you are sending the emails? It is possible that the emai address which you have used to send the email address is getting blocked at the recipient end.
