Data Entities are not visible in Data Management Framework

In Data Management Framework there are no Data Entities available. But entities are available in Application Explorer in Visual Studio.

I have tried full Build Models and Database synchronization.

I am using a Dynamics 365 for operations cloud hosted environment.

Anyone encountering the problem of new entities not being visible, I tend to consider the following list as the "escalation" process. Also worth noting that there are different ways to find entities in the list: check the Label property of the entity for the Entity name column, and/or the Staging table column name.

Ensure your entity Data management enabled property is set Yes

DM Workspace > Framework parameters > Refresh entity list button and waiting for the notification to confirm the list was refreshed

Solution build, DB sync, refresh entity list

Full model build, DB sync, refresh entity list

iisreset

VM restart through LCS

Hi Fahad,

Positions entity is marked as obsolete and that why you don't see it in the add entity dialog. You can paste the entity name in the add entity dialog, press "Add" and the entity still be added to the data project or use Positions V2 entity (recommended approach)

Hey Martin Thanks for your response it still helps a lot of users.

I am facing same issue but I have refresh the entity list and I have checked the target entity but still its is not showing in DMF.

I am sharing both screenshots.

In this image you can see entity is visible in data entity.

But when I try to export it doesn't show this specific positions entity.

Hi Vikash,

My issue got resolved after clicking on "Refresh entity list" button available under Data Management module's Parameters. Initially when i was clicking this option it was giving me message that "Data entity already being refresh , once it will be complete you will be notified in message center." but nothing were updated or nothing were listed on data entity list page and behavior were same in each attempt( I tried this couple of times) but then after 2-3 days i again used this option ("Refresh entity list") and it did worked. Not sure why it did not worked initially.

Hi Manish, hope you are doing fine. I am facing the same issue and the application is on V8.0, PU15. I have another application on the same version and PU but it works fine in that application. Were you able to fix this issue? Another blog suggested to install all the binaries, community.dynamics.com/.../290328.

Hi Friends,

I have read through all the responses and clicked on refreshed entity list button and waited for more than 30 minutes but no luck, my data entity list page still blank. I can see all the data entities when tried to create records manually in this form. Do i need to create all records manually in this form ? Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Refresh entity will work as if there are no other issues, But i just have a doubt with Production, if we can do or not. I did it and worked for me.

I was facing same issue in test environment. Even after doing refresh data entity was not visible in front end. I have added data entity manually in front end.
