Print report from NAV

(1) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 67

Hello,

Client is not able to print one specific report directly from NAV. He can only export that report to PDF and then print it.

When I click on "print" button document is processed to printer queue but it stays there... Document isn't big (124 KB).

I tried to print similar report(from other client) and it works fine, but am not able to find differences between those objects. Only difference is that second report runs through CLE but I think that this could be connected with printing.

I printed the same report from client network on my local printer. I printed this report locally, also.

Thank you in advance,

Vojkan

This is user Machine problem. The user is able to print other reports ? he is facing only this problem with this report and all other reports are well printed?

if you click on preview you can see the output !?

Can you check if you can print to PDF from the same user and check if he is facing the same problem.

You have to check also if he is able to print small documents from outside NAV to make sure that this is NAV or User Printer problem.

    Hi,
When you run the report try do preview, from preview try printing. May be client account  has some permission issues. Not sure but give it a try and then let me know. Thanks

    Hello Mohamad,

I can see print preview. Client has about 20 computers (users) and none of them could print this report. Others reports are printing normally.

They are able to print small document outside NAV, too.

I think that something is wrong in code, but I am not sure. It is very strange, that I am able to print this report locally and through client network on my local printer...

I tried printing from request page and preview. Results are the same - no printing on local printer:)

Can you let me know which version of NAV is your customer using ?

Can you see the report in PrintLayout format during preview mode ?

Can you check the properties of the report : maybe the size , orientation and property not set properly?

I suggest that you change at any the user of your customer the default printer and set it as OneNote or PDF or XPS than try to print it. let me know your finding.

Problem is solved. I changed paper size from custom to A4.

It's very strange. When I had had this situation earlier (paper size - custom) printer printed multiple pages. Problem is probably in different printer processing methods.

    Thanks, guys!

Good job! That's why you're one of the best in Eastern Balkans!
