We're laying the foundation for TIBCO TCI, which is going to require us to install web services for our Dynamics GP 2018.
Has anyone attempted the installation of web services in-house, or would you recommend that we contract a VAR to do it?
Also, can you point me to an installation document?

The web services install/config is pretty straightforward. The big things to look out for -- like Derek said -- is the AD security store you need to do now and configuring it for HTTPS. Here's the article for that:

I'd recommend this video which goes through an installation of Web Services using an AD security store, which is required if TLS 1.0 is disabled on the server.

I also wanted to mention, as you stated 'GP 2018', beginning with 18.2, the version/build of GP you're actually on, dictates what service pack and/or media you need to use to install Web Service, as is linked to and mentioned in this blog:
