Issue to import contacts with csv file

Hello,

I'm trying to import contacts with csv file following guidlines.

When I open the csv template file, I have only one column with all datas separated by commas and not one column per data as it shown different web page ressource.

Even if i convert the csv file to get all column needed, I have an error message (need to have all variables implemented before...).

Do you know what settings have to be done please ?

    Hi Franck,

    You will need to first download the template file first before you add the contacts. Here is the documentation link for the same Send a survey by using email | Microsoft Docs

    Can you pls confirm if you are using the downloaded template file ? If yes, you can reachout at customervoice@microsoft.com with your csv file that you are using and we can help assist.

    I have the exact same issue and tried to solve it the same way you did. Did you get any more info about the problem?

    The template is downloaded in .csv format. If your machine does not specify excel as the default app to open csv, then you will need to follow the step at : Import or export text (.txt or .csv) files - Excel (microsoft.com)

    Alternatively, you can change the default app setting for .csv file -- please see How to open CSV files with Excel by default - ResRequest

    This solved it for me:

    superuser.com/.../how-to-make-excel-open-csv-files-and-automatically-split-the-comma-delimited-col

    The setting is in Windows, and not Excel. 

    1: Go to 'Regional settings'

    2: Under Related Settings click 'Additional date, time &regional settings'

    3: Click 'Change date, time or number formats.

    4: Click Additional settings

    5: Change decimal symbol to "." and list separator to ",".

    6: Apply

    Step 2: Click "More" and choose "Import"

    Step 3: Choose CSV file and import it to your Gmail account.

    Step 4: Import CSV contacts to your Android from Gmail account.

    Step 1: Create an Excel CSV file on your computer.

    Step 2: Convert the Excel CSV file to vCard file.

    Thanks for your asnwer,

    Unfortunatly, I can't change my regional setting just to let your apps working well as this have side effects on my other applications.

    May this issue is to due to my Excel product in French and your system based outside EU ?

    Hello,

    Why I have to use Gmail and vCard file ?

    I think there is an issue on the Customer Voice Contacts integration functionality and think that is not the res ponsability og the final customer to find a tips to load contacts.

    Hi Ajun,

    I have tried to log into this forum without success - I am having a similar problem. The first survey I created I was able to upload the contacts and send the emails. This second different survey will not allow me to upload the contact csv file. I have double checked everything and it's driving me nuts and I need to get this sorted by next Wednesday! Thank you in advance Deb
