Inserting images into Knowledge Articles

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi Everyone,

I am wondering what the best practice is for storing and inserting images into knowledge articles that will be displayed to both our customers via our portal, or internally for our employees. Currently I am attaching the image file to the notes section of a web-file, and then using that partial-URL to be inserted into the knowledge article itself. This is incredibly time consuming and does not seem to be a viable method for large scale growth? Thank you for any suggestions.

    Hi,

You should have a secure public bucket to store the images, it may be the SharePoint or Azure Blob Storage, better to go with Azure Blob storage https://docs.microsoft.com/.../storage-upload-process-images

Hello Tyler94, did you use this solution for the portal?  Did it work well for you or did you find a different solution?

You can use the appsource solution from the link - appsource.microsoft.com/.../microsoft_labs.96257e65-dbbe-43db-b775-77cf1609530c

Thank you for the reply, is there any documentation out there on how this could work on a large scale (large quantity of images being inserted into articles quickly)?

Images/Rich Media content could be stored in Azure blobs , Its secured and cost effective.
