There are two teams that have access to a custom entity, but they cannot see each other's records. A user is part of both teams. The user works sometimes with one team and sometimes with another and sometimes he is not part of any team. When the user creates a new record inside the custom entity, the team he is working with should be the only to have permissions to the record. The other team that he is not working with should not have permissions to the record.
I am working in an online trial environment. The company production environment is online.
How to restrict permissions to either team depending on who the user is working with at the time?
Hi chigivigi,
Maybe you need control access to records by business unit.
1. Set permissions to "Business Unit" for custom entity in security role:
2.Create two Business units, then add two teams into them separately.
My problem is that the user is a member of both teams. The record will have the user as the owner, not the team. In that scenario how will I restrict access to the other team when the team is not the record owner, the user is?
Hi,try by using Access team template.https://carldesouza.com/access-team-templates-dynamics-365/
Thanks,Pradeep.
