    Hi Arpan,

Set based operations is used to perform bulk operations more efficiently using record set operations. Data entity must Support set-based SQL operation. You can enable the "Set-based operations".

Set based operations cannot be used on entities using the following -

    a. Views

    b. Unions

    c. Time-State Enabled

    d. Temporary or TempDB

    e. Mixed SaveDataPerCompany

    f. Fields in AK(Alternate Key) not mapped in entity

    g. Aggregations

    h. Composite Data Sources

    i. Joins other than inner and outer join

For an example, "Set based operations" can be enabled for HcmJobEntity. whereas if you try to enable the same for SalesOrderHeaderV2Entity, you will receive a message "Set operations not supported for 'Sales order headers V2' entity.

    Thanks Gunjan,

One thing while we enable the set based operation then only we came to know,  which entity support that or not.

Why Sales order headers V2' entity not supported Set based operation?

You can check the entity itself to see if it can be used to set based operations. If it contains any of the objects as I mentioned in the first response (like views, Unions etc.), it will not be allowed for "Set based operations".

I believe SalesOrderHeaderV2Entity uses a view which is why it is not supported.

I am having an issue in which a file is imported to an entity which has "Set-based processing" to yes, the lines ar enot getting processed in the correct order. If I uncheck this mark would that correct the issue? would there be any disanvantages?
