Can i Integrate my external POS application with Dynamics NAV 2015 database and post sales invoice ?

Yes sure, but you need to write integration code. It's a very generic question, solutions could be many and many :)
Yes, it is totally possible. You need to establish an integration as Stefano wrote. Refer generally here: msdn.microsoft.com/.../dd355398.aspx.
There are also some verticals (such as LS Retail) which offer POS as an integral part of NAV.
