Using D365 and an On-Premise Exchange server.
How can we send an email where the "From/Reply Address" is different than the default email address?
Example: We have a user that runs a report for customer invoices. We want that report to email the customers as invoice@insertneamehere.com.
Hi - sending the report itself is usually done using a plugin, because OOB reports can't be sent using Microsoft Dynamics 365, but if I read your question right, you want the FROM address to be different than the user's default email. This is generally done using a Queue and a workflow. Here is an article (I realize this article is for Dynamics Online, but the queue/workflow concept is still valid.).
If you are using the Email Router to route mail from Dynamics 365 On-Prem and your Exchange Server, and you have set up a Queue with an account on your Exchange Server, then I should think this would work.

There is no such OOB feature.
So you have to write a plugin for this.

Once done, this will be very practical. :)
