Inventory posting set up does not exist

Hello,

I am trying to ship and invoice an order that is drop shipment and I am getting the following error message:

The Inventory posting setup does not exist. Identification fields and values: Location code=",Invt. Posting group code='COMPLETE'

Can anyone shed any light on what is wrong here - think some settings have been changed as we used to be able to select drop shipment and not have to put in a location as most of our orders are drop shipment.

Thanks

Selina

Its a setup issue and please go to Inventory posting setup page and there you need to add set up for Location code=",Invt. Posting group code='COMPLETE'

this is a missing setup. goto search box and write inventory posting setup, open the page, then set the needed values, save.

but we want the location field to be left blank on this order as it's a drop shipment - it's not coming from a location

    HI Selina,

yes that is true and same is the error message is specifying that.

There is no setup for Location Code as '' (BLANK) and Invt. Posting Group Code = 'COMPLETE'.

Even for the Blank location you need to specify accounts on which the value will be posted.

So create the setup for Location - Blank and Invt. Posting Group Code - Complete and then try to post.

Thank you so much Saurav! I have set up a blank location and it's worked! That's really helped me - I spent ages trying to work out what was wrong
