Enable the Warehouse Devices Portal Emulator (mi=action:WHSWorkExecute) without the System Administrator role?

Does anyone know if there is a way to view the Warehouse Devices Portal Emulator without being a System Administrator? Currently, we want to restrict other modules for a user, but allow them to view the Warehouse Emulator.

I tried creating a custom security role with references to the WHSWorkExecute action menu item, but I still keep getting the following error when I try to access the menu item: "You are unable to navigate directly to this menu item whsworkexecute."

Would this require some customization?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the response.

I have created a WHS Worker and associated it with the user, but the I am still receiving the error.

Do you know if only System Admins are able to access action menu items? (i.e. mi=action:WHSWorkExecute) I do not receive this error when accessing the URL though my user which is a System Admin.

Hi Frankenstein,

This works for non admin user also,

Make sure the action menu item WHSWorkExecute has "Allow Root Navigation" set to yes.

You will be able to access the mobile device emulator for non admin user also,

Does exist somewhere already a menu item by default in D365 for the user to call the Warehouse Device Portal Emulator?

Hi Jean Palser,

No its not available as a default menu item in the application which can initiate the emulator and can be accessed by manually adding the section "mi=action:WHSWorkExecute" to the base URL of the environment to which you want emulator to work.

This is however is just a work around. Workers are supposed to use the new warehouse app to process the warehouse operations.
