Hi All,

when transferring to bulk location user gives the location ID.

now how can I configure this in location directives, I am able to get the inventory in staging location from here how can I transfer to required bulk location.   what is the use of disposition code?

I am new to Advance warehouse management can anybody provide me any Docs. for reference.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Please create a mobile device menu item for "Purchase receive" and "Purchase Putaway" and when you receive the material using the purchase receive menu item, the item is placed in the staging location and system creates a work for Putaway.

Use the work ID and complete the Putaway using mobile device menu item "Purchase Putaway"

Disposition codes are for batch controlled items which basically determines whether a particular batch is available for consumption or not.

Please refer TechNet for more information about the Advance Warehouse Management.

    Hi Phani,

    Have you tried this approach:

Set the staging location as the final Put on the Purchase receiving work. (i.e. the Purchase 'put-away' is to the staging location).

Then use a Mobile device menu item with 'Work creation process' = 'Movement' for the transfer to a bulk location. With this flow, the worker decides which bulk location will be used.

Hi, or you could use Guy's approach, but with 'Movement by Template' if you like a system suggested location (which could be a fixed location).

    Hi Phani,

Firstly you need to decide whether the final movement of items from stage to bulk locations has to be a manual process or you want to automate that as well.

In case you want to manually move items from stage to bulk locations the setup is simpler and the worker have the say to decide where they want to put the items finally.

1- Create a work template for purchase order for warehouse with one pick and put pairs.(This will create work to pick items from default location to stage location)

2- Create a location directive for work type put for your warehouse and select Stage location profile in the location directive actions query. (This will suggest AX to put all goods to stage locations)

Now you can create a purchase order and receive it using mobile device. Once goods are received in stage location they can finally be moved to bulk locations by using movement work option in mobile device.

In case you want to automate complete process then you would need two pick put pairs in your work template to move goods from default location to stage location and then from stage location to bulk location finally.

Next you would need to make two location directive to put work one to put items to stage and next to put goods to bulk locations.
