Hi folks,
I've just created a new Field Service trial and it has some problems.
When I try to create a work order I get an error message -
Exception Message: User with ID 7bc4cc46-4818-eb11-a812-000d3a9c7ffa does not have Create permissions for the msdyn_subtotalamount attribute in the msdyn_workorder entity. Count secured attributes in entity 11. User has 0 secured attribute privileges. callerAp=null
ErrorCode: -2147158782
HexErrorCode: 0x8004f502
Activity Id: 211f3113-f0af-4f57-891c-4cbe03b5a365
This happens in several other places as well.
Does this mean that the trial is broken? How can I get a new trial with the same email address I've used on this one?
I don't have access to any security settings so I can't even go look at that.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Trevor
Thanks Alan, I am working in a trial tenant. I think it wasn't provisioned properly.
As you say - starting another trial is probably the fix.
Trevor
Hi Trevor,
If you don't have access to these components within your current tenant, you could review Field Service (FS) features by taking out a trial. This would be an alternate way of reviewing FS if you don't have access to security and the ability to review security roles and privileges assigned to your user record for example. The following discusses the various trials:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/trial-environments
I don't have any other way to manipulate security so if you don't have access, maybe a new trial may be the way to go.
Thanks Alan,
Thanks for your message, unfortunately I can't access any of those settings.
I can get to the Dynamics 365 home page (home.dynamics.com) but there's no way to access security settings from there. If I log in to Field Service I can see my account in the Users container but again - there is no way to access any security settings.
Same for the PowerApps admin center - no security settings available.
Hi ,
I understand you've mentioned you don't have access to security but we'll need to understand what Field Service security roles you're currently assigned, if any, and then ensure we have the relevent Field Service Security Roles assigned to your User record based on what you're needing to utilize in Field Service for example. The following artilce works you through the various Field Service security roles so this is where I would be starting.
Set up field service users and security roles
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/field-service/view-user-accounts-security-roles
Now, if you're assigned the relevant Field Service Security Roles and still experiencing the issue, it could be that your user record is missing from Field Security Profiles. See the following as it's a similar privilege error and it works you through how to add users to Field Security Profiles:
Hope this helps Trevor.
