CIF V2 Implementation in Customer Service Workspace

I tried to configure 3rd party web app in MS Dynamics 365 via Channel Integration Framework version 2.0 (CIF V2.0). As we know CIF V2.0 works only in Customer Service workspace and Omnichannel for Customer Service apps.

I followed this guide to setup the 3rd party web app link

Case1: when call rings we call the searchAndOpenRecords API to search and  screen pop the record in front of agent. it works fine  in Omnichannel for Customer Service .

Case2: when call rings we call the searchAndOpenRecords API to search and  screen pop the record in front of agent in Customer Service workspace . It return the error {/message/:/Sender domain is not a recognised or is invalid and hence the message cant be processed/}  and same response for all  Miscellaneous methods in this app.

Note: configuration is same for both apps as followed in above link .

Link for searchAndOpenRecords api.

In the above screenshot I tried to add  Trusted Domain and Channel URL with different combinations of URL as given below

  • The channel URL is in the format: <domain_url>?base=<crm_base_url>
  • https://widget.domain.com?ucilib=https://crmorg.crm.dynamics.com/webresources/Widget/msdyn_ciLibrary.js
  • https://widget.domain.com

but it did not resolve my problem.

Your response would be highly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Not sure if it will help you or not, but it will helps if we can eliminate as many possibilities as we can. For my case I've got this error because data-crmurl was still pointing to the last expired instance. Just make sure the source and the data-crmurl is pointing to the same actual instance.

Maybe it's because it's a sandbox? Try in a new customer service trial
