Anonymization of Personal-Related Data - Where is the Data Stored or Created?

Hi everyone,

we are facing a challenge where we have to anonymize all personal-related data in the dynamics 365 for marketing because of a high compliance standard.

So does anyone know where this data is stored? I mean, what are the names of the entities where these records are created?

More or less, I am trying to find the data that is used in the insights tab of Dynamics 365 for Marketing:

What about emails that are sent directly to a contact? After doing some research, the data is stored in Azure blob storage.

Im also working on a anonymization solution for client, and all personal data that is stored has to be anonymized or deleted. How can I delete the data that is stored in Azure blob storage to a specific contact? Is this possible?

I saw an article of how you can retrieve interactions for a contact, is there any similar way for emails that are sent ta a contact?

    Best regards,

    Charlotte

    Hi Thomas,

Interaction data is stored in the marketing-insights service database and includes information about how your contacts interacted with your marketing initiatives, including email opens, email clicks, event registrations, page submissions, and more. You can see this type of information when you look at the insights built into Dynamics 365 Marketing, but you can't create these records nor view them directly. In the current release, you'll use the Power BI "Azure Blob Storage" connector for this type of data.

The above statement can be found in the following documentation:

Prepare for analytic reporting with Power BI (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,

    Nya
