Common Data Service - How to integrate D365 FO and CRM

Hi All, I am new to this Common Data Management concept. I have the following queries regarding this topic. Please help me on this.

1. What are the licenses required to make a POC on integrating CRM (Sales) and Operations in D365?

2. Can you tell me a link/blog to describe steps to create simple entity integration (out of box and customized) between Sales and Operations? ( Google didn't helped me here)

3. Is there any other integration approach available to integrate Sales and Operations?

4. What are the prerequisites required to move forward in CDS approach?

5. Suggest some books / materials to study about CDS?

    Hello Srikanth,

    Wanted to check with you, using CDS, if the following are possible:

    1. Integrate D365 F&O and Sales

    2. Integrate Sales and D365 F&O

    Is 2-way communication possible with CDS? Please share your first hand experience.

    Hi Amar Babu,

    Yes, you can able to synchronize data from D365 F&O to Sales and vice-versa.   There are pre-defined templates in data integrator to sync the data.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../data-integration-cds

    The challenge comes when you try to sync data from Dynamics Talent to F&O, in which it don't have any template to sync from D365 F&O to Talent.

    You can also check on using logic apps to serve this purpose without using the data integrator.

    I am following the same URL you shared to integrate. But I have an issue using connection section. I have created connections in PowerApps for both D365 F&O and D365 Sales. Now in Power Apps Admin Portal, I have created a new connection set. I don't see earlier created connections in Connection set. Can you be of any help here please?

    I have also tried using Logic Apps to achieve the same. But, Logic Apps has only 1-way integration from D365 Sales to D365 F&O. But, vice versa is not possible. Microsoft is working on providing triggers from D365 F&O to D365 Sales.
