Unified Interface - LookupField - View

There is a lookup field on the form. In the classic d365 user interface when I click on the lens some info are displayed:

pastedimage1562848583970v2.png

- The name of the entity (I ereased it for privacy)

- some other field of the record (133338 and 3200 - DL Australia Pt

- A tool "Lookup More records"

If I switch in the Unified Interface just the field 13338 is displayed and there is not the option "lookup for more records".

Is it possible to adjust the UI as the classical version of the user interface?

I have the same question (0)

The UCI uses the lookup views first three columns to display here.

So you will need to change the account lookup view.

Also, you need to press 'enter' or click on the search icon to get the results.

The problem is that the Unified Interface does not display those fields, it shows only the first two columns of the lookup view.

Lookup For More Record of the old user interface is far more powerfull, it offers output in a paginated grid, while a click on enter in UCI presents a list of something like 20 items with only the name of the record... is it really all we can do in the UCI?

If you add more views in the UCI you can select the 'change view' option .

Next to that if you scroll down and arrive at the end of the (let's say 20 items, didn't count it) it will load the next 20 items.

The dropdown arrow to show more fields in regards of the list view as before is indeed something else.. However, the view changes in regards of what columns are shown depending on the search results.

But in regards of having the same dialog search as the old interface, no, as far as I know it is not available in a lookup on a form.

Maybe somebody else might know a solution.

I verified that only 25 records of more than 50 are displayed in the lookup view and there is no way to scroll down for loading the rest.

Could it be a missing configuration?

No idea on a configuration part, I would say it is by default.

I am seeing in my trial version which holds 33 accounts from A to W the following if I keep scrolling.

(It takes a small second to load the next items but I can see the scrollbar jumping when it's done):

    Hi,

The lookup control in Unified Interface do all what classic can do and in addition it can display more than 3 columns (you just have to click on the down arrow to see the columns). Further, you don't need "Lookup more record" as you can do a search within the lookup control. Refer below screenshotaccounlookup.png

    Hope this helps.

Hi Ravi, thanks for your answer. I would not say that the lookup of the new UI can do more because viewing the result in a grid as was per LookupForMoreRecords and having to click the down arrow on any single element to display its details for our users is quite different.

More, searching within the lookup presupposes that the user knows in advance what he is looking for while in a paginated grid he can choose the result based on all the view fields... quite different too..

Anyway if this is the behaviour, well, our users will adapt

I agree user experienc wise its different but it severs the same/similar fnctionality. Unfortunaly as mentioned this is by design :(
