Enable Chinese Region Reports

I want to enable the Chinese region reports in Dynamics AX 365. The country region code property is disabled. If I create a duplicate of the menu item in the project then the country region code property is enabled and I give the CN (country region code). But when I run the menu item, it gives error. I think the menu item does not have permissions. Any idea how to resolve this?

    Hello Moeen Ahmed Sultan,

    For a Chinese company, i.e. one that is assigned to China in the legal entity setup those reports should be available by default?

    Doesn't this work for you or are you trying to use those Chinese reports elsewhere, i.e. in a different country/region?

    If we use the company that is assigned to China in legal entity prints the Chinese region report. But this is not my requirement.

    I want to use a company assigned to US and I want to print China region report. But the country region code property is not working.

    Hi,

    Does the report print but do not show data?

    Or does the printing already stop with an error message?

    In the first case, some Chinese specific setups might be missing.

    For the second case, you have to investigate your report design and what data are pulled in. Wouldn't it possibly be faster creating your own and 'new' report from scratch rather than trying to modify a Chinese one?

    It shows design and data as same as the default company(US) does show.

    For the second case, if design is available, do you think that country region code would work?

    Hello Moeen Ahmed Sultan,

    In the previous AX2012 version you could simply add a country-region code to make a local report - for example a Chinese one - available for your country environment.

    The problem often was that there are some additional country-specific settings necessary in order to get the report filled with data.

    Have you tried adding your come country in the country region property rather deleting what was setup there?

    Does this make any change?

    When I run the report using US company it executes US report and China company for china  reports. In this case design changes and data always come.

    But using US company settings, I want to run Chinese reports.

    When I give the Country Region Code as  CN (China) and use the US as company, nothing changes but same design and data shows.

    It is a deep subject than just changing menu items properties.

    • What if in the controller class a condition has been written to run  different design based on country code?
    • What if a report uses RDP report and certain inserts are performed under specif country code only.
    • What if underlying temp table has properties of country code?
    • What if any field of temp table is tied with country code?

    change is required at many places sometimes. please watch carefully what you have done so far and what is rest that is needed to be done.
