Management Reporter 2012 and Company list

I am having a really puzzling issue with installation of Management Reporter 2012.

My customer have a database with 6 companies, and one of them was named A&A and that turned out to be a problem, so we had to rename it to AA.

Not we had Management Reporter installed before we renamed the company, but now after the rename the list of companies in Management Reporter is not updating.

So we tried to uninstall Management Reporter and delete the Databases created with it, both databases was deleted (ManagmentReporter and ManagmentReporterDM)

And then we actually installed the Management Reporter Server and Client on a new server, but still when it was done with installing and synchronizing data, the list of companies still had the old A&A company in the list, and not the new AA one.

I tried deleting the A&A Company from the list in the Console, but got an error (Management Reporter 2012 – This company is referenced by an existing report definition or reporting tree definition. Remove these associations before deleting the company.)

I am reasonably sure that the rename was ok in Dynamics AX, since everywhere i look the old Company has been renamed to AA.

    Hi Rudi,

There could be couple of things you can verify from SQL level:

    1. Check table "ControlCompany" in the ManagementReporter database. see whether the correct company code is updated here.

    2. Check table "Organization" in the ManagementReporterDM. see whether the company code is updated in the Name column.

    3. In AX, Verify  the "DirPartyTable" table where the Company record is actually stored. See whether the field "DataArea" reflects your new code AA.

I can't right now access the ManagmentReporter databases, since I have uninstalled Managment Reporter to try to reinstall it.

But when I look in DirPartyTable the DataArea field is correct.

Problem is now solved, I tried to update the RecIdVersion field on the DataArea table, and then I finally get the right list of companies in Management Reporter.

So it seems it was a caching issue, with the DataArea table.
