How can I delete all data in CRM ?

Hello,

With 'Bulk Deletion' I was able to delete all entries for :

Leads, Opportunities, Competitors, Quotes, Orders, Invoices, Sales Literature, Marketing Lists, Quick Campaigns, Goals, Forecast, Cases, Price list items.

But when it comes to Accounts I have 28 I can't get rid of due to dependencies, Same for Products... 12 left. Sames goes for 'Active Unit Groups, 8 left, Sames goes for Price Lists (12 left)

I'm already spending a couple of hours trying to get a clean database. But I actually want to do is importing my dataset and explore the possibilities of my trial account...on my data.

Any suggestions on how to proceed ?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Phvl how are you?

I think that the easiest way to you is to reset your environment.

If it is a production organization, update it to sandbox and reset the organization, change to production again.

Reset an organization is only available for sandbox instances.

    Reset a sandbox environment - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/sandbox-environments#reset-a-sandbox-environment

Change a production environment to sandbox - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/sandbox-environments#change-a-production-environment-to-sandbox

Please let me know if this information helped on your question.

    Hello Rodrigo,

Thank you for your support. Indeed these where the answers I saw in the forum.

Unfortunately, I do not have a 'reset' button :

I see 2 environments in my list. [https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/environments]

When I have the 1st one selected : (type is trail) I see 'Open Environment', 'Settings', 'Resources', ' Convert to production', 'Delete'

When I have the 2nd one selected (type is default) I see 'Open Environment', 'Settings', 'Resources'.

They both have an environment url that I don't use. In fact I have a 3rd environment url that I use and that is not in this list...

Hi Phvl thanks for the reply.

So in this case you are not able to see all environments like production and sandbox, I think this third environment, please check if you have the Environment Admin or System Administrator permission.

About those ones, trial environment can not be reset and the default environment is not a D365 organization. The default environment is a place where we add some information about your tenant and other things an we advised to not add information or customizations on it.

Please let me know if this information helped on your question.

    Hello Rodrigo,

Thanks for you reply. Actually your response explains why your suggested solution (reset the environment) doesn't work, but it doesn't solve my initial issue of how I could get rid of the prefilled data in the trial account and use my own data.

    Kind Regards,

    Philippe

    Hello Bipin,

Thanks for your reply : Indeed good thinking and i had seen this possibility before. Unfortunately Microsoft things otherwise and says : Sample Data is not installed on this system.

    ;-(

    Hi,

When you delete records from Bulk delete what error you get?

Can you first delete child records and then delete account.

You should check relationship parental as this will cause issue in Customization under settings. If relationship type is refrential then it will not create any problem for child records.

    Hi Phvl how are you?

I think your are talking about sample data. To delete follow the steps on docs.microsoft.com/.../add-remove-sample-data

If this is not the case and you are doing tests on a trial organization, I think you can create another trial organization with a clean database.

Please let me know if this information helped on your question.</p>
