Production processes creating Planned purchase and Planned production orders

AX 2012 R3

We have a scenario where Production processes (I don't know which) are creating Planned purchase and production orders against the Production user's name. I cannot find exactly which action is creating the orders.  It looks like it might be on Job scheduling, but it cannot be confirmed.

Is there a setting to keep it from happening? We do not want this to happen.  Planned orders should only be created when Master scheduling is run.

Thank you in advance.

You have a Prod BOM line that is of type Production and Vendor. Check your reference list on your production order for the production  order and check your reference field on purchase order line. You could also check your ProdBOM and BOM table and filter on type. These types create the orders directly and it happens at estimation.

Production users name? Can you post an example screen shot? Referenced orders can be scheduled but ultimately they will have been created by the master plan run itself.

Thank you Fredrik.  I can see the references on the orders.  On my BOM's, all the Line types are set to Item.  Should it then still create the reference orders?  Is there somewhere else it can be set up? Or is there a way to stop it from happening?

No that is the config for reference orders. Can you post examples, your description is not clear to me.

I have one user running Master scheduling, so the Modified by column on the Planned orders form is populated with her name.

Then a second user Estimates, Schedules and Released Production orders, but she never performs any planning activities.  After she did some work on Production orders, there are new Planned purchase and production orders created (without running Master scheduling again), with the second user populated in the Modified by column on the Planned orders.

(I hope you can see the screen shot, I'm struggling to get it attached.  Please look at the Modified by column)

According to Fredrik the planned orders are created when the Production orders are Estimated, without running Master scheduling.

All the line types on my BOM's are of type "Item", so I did not expect planned orders to be created.  Can you please point me in the right direction to change the config for reference orders?

Modified does not mean created, it just means modified.

Look at the creatred date. I would imagine that the process of scheduling is reacting to the supply chain and resources and scheduling which will then change the related orders if the date changes etc.

You need these as per planning, it is not creating unwanted orders I presume. The estimation of a single order will not create planned orders unless you manually created the order and it was never run through planning. As you have said there are no items in the BOM to configure referenced orders so these are not new.

To upload a screen shot you need to set it to the correct size and use the rich formatting option to upload.
