Dynamics 365 Guides crashes when authoring in the HoloLens app - Content limit exceeded message

Is there a content limit for authoring a guide?  The guide I'm currently working on contains multiple branches with holograms (.glb format) in most of the steps.  There are also some videos (.mp4) and images (.png).  I didn't have any issues at first.  However, now that the guide is almost finished, it consistently crashes when placing holograms with the HoloLens app.  I have to restart the guide and pick up where I left off.  The only possible workflow is to place a hologram, move to the next step card, expect crash, restart guide, click outline button to navigate to step where crash occurred, then repeat process for placing the next hologram.

At one point in the process, a yellow banner appeared below the step card header that read something like "content limit has been exceeded",  but I wasn't able to take a snapshot.

Update 07/16/2021:  Added snapshot of yellow banner (content exceeds available memory), which only appears when authoring in the HL2 app.  The guide closes abruptly and has to be restarted (this behavior also occurs while using guide as an operator).

In case it helps anyone else, I was finally able to narrow down the root cause to a specific type of hologram used in this guide (essentially, any .GLB file containing a 3D plane with a PNG image).  The affected holograms with 3D planes were created using a high-resolution PNG image (300 PPI).

The workaround is to use a lower resolution PNG image (72 PPI if possible).  Use a higher resolution if image appears too pixelated in HoloLens, but try not to exceed 150 PPI.

Hopefully this issue will be addressed in future releases of Dynamics 365 Guides in order to support higher-res images.

Hello Shiho, thanks for the feedback, but this doesn't help me.  Without knowing the limitations of the Guides application, I can't determine what level of complexity can be safely designed into a guide.  This particular guide I'm working on is for a preliminary use case at a basic level.  Am I to be concerned about the guide's ability to support mid to high-level complexity designs?
