Is there a way to setup permissions that would allow a user to cancel an approval request, even if the user is not the approver or part of the approval chain or sequence?

In this case this is a manager that although is not a direct approver, should have the ability to cancel other user's requests. This is specific to Purchase Orders, but could apply to other types of requests as well.

Please advise. Look forward to a reply.

Thank you, Tom,

Changing the Approver Admin setting opened up the cancellation field. That said, the user still has a concern as despite clicking on "Cancel Approval" the PO still displays a pending approval status.

Is there another step that we need to consider? Please advise. Thank you.

Whoever is the Approval Administrator on the Approval User Setup page is able to cancel approval requests even if not directed to them for approval. You can only have one Approval Administrator selected.
