Menu item with name mainaccountdetails could not be open

I'm adding custom filter control on the Mainaccounts form by creating extension, build was successful but when I ran the solution it's giving me error Menu item with name mainaccountdetails could not be open and Object reference is not set to on instance of reference. I have not done any changes in other control I just added new group control, wilth new string control and combo box control under navigationlist cotrol

Hi Yogesh,

Can you tell in detail what data was linked with the new objects? Is it related to new fields? Did you or a colleague also created new data entities? Is this a development box or a production environment? Have you performed a full build and database synchronization?

1. Name and Type field of the MainAccounts

2. I'm not sure since when I click on MainAccount form (General ledger module > Accounts > Main Accounts) its giving me this error

3. No my colleague not created any new data entries

4. It's development environment

5. I have perform database synchronization, I'll try it by performing full build

Are you sure it is coming after your customization ? was your form working properly before your customizations? There might be something else which is causing this.

also check for all references and sometime build with reference models might help

1. Open any D365FO solution in Visual Studio

2. Debug -> Attach to process (w3wp.exe or iisexpress.exe)

3. Open the form in browser

You will see what line of code throws the exception.
