Tracking Payroll Builds

Posted on by 807

Is the history of payroll batches tracked at all?

I would like to know how many times a payroll batch was used in a build and who built or unbuilt the build containing that batch.

We had a batch that appears to have been used in a build and calculation. All of the transactions in the batch are on the Calculate Checks Report, but were not included on checks or in any of the postings.

It appears that build was rebuilt without the batch, but the user claims it was only built once.

So can I see the history of the builds? Also, has anyone else have this happen where the batch is used in a calculation but then is removed without a rebuild.

Thanks,

Bob

    RE: Tracking Payroll Builds

    Hi Bob,

Payroll batches and or builds are not an officially tracked item in Dynamics GP with the UPR10304 table holding detail information for payroll batches still existing in the system and UPR10210 holding the existing builds.  Once fully processed and/or deleted there wouldn't be an option to review history for a payroll batch or builds in default Dynamics GP table materials.  If such tracking is needed many companies purchase or develop SQL auditing applications that will record SQL changes to a default table in an alternate 'shadow' tables that can be referenced for later reporting once the initial materials have been processed and no longer exist for review.
