Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Archived)

Insufficient stock quantity!!!!!!

hi all, 

I am getting an error during posting on a consumtion journal saying: you have insufficient quantity of item xxxxxx on inventory, but if i check my inventory levels, it says i have got stock????

What is causing this?

    Hi Marley, the On-Hand amount shown on the Item card in NAV is not the same as the Available amount. It is likely that you have some kind of allocation (or even reservation) for those parts already, perhaps they are on other component lines (on a picklist for another job). In NAV if  you create the pick you also create an allocation for the parts to-be-picked.

    In addition to what the others have said, make sure that your inventory is not reserved for another sales order or another planned consumption too.

    Is there any variant with item?

    Are yiu using any item dimensions.

    Please check.

    Hi, the location of inventory on the consumption journal matches the locations on my actual inventory

    Make sure you check the inventory is in the correct location.
