Parent account Lookup on Child form is blank

I added a parent account lookup on  a child account   - using the account_parent_account relation ship  - when I select a parent account for the child account and save   and refresh the form the Parent Account Lookup appears black although when I  I run an advance search I can see that the parent account lookup field  is populated as  per my selection  .

    No custom code just configured   Out of the box

    Do you have any business rule set on account entity? If you can see the value in advance find but not on firm then it must be hidden using JS or business rule.

    Would suggest to check both.
