Unlicensed workflow owner

Hi,

I stumbled upon a issue where workflows were unable to run because the owner of the workflows had become unlicensed and removed from Office 365.

I'm wondering if there is any way to assign the workflows to like a "SYSTEM" owner so that whenever a workflow creator becomes unlicensed, the workflow will remain functioning?

    Hi Viktor,

Firstly, you could not assign workflow to 'System' owner which is system defined owner as following screenshot:

Secondly, you could not assign the workflow to specific security roles like BPF as following screenshot:

While you could assign the workflow to specific Teams which include more than one user. This could help mitigate your mentioned deactivated WF due to deactivated user.

You can create a new service account and assign  "System Admin" role to this user.

Use this new service account to import solution.

Owner of workflow is always a user who import solution.
