Where are the Options stored from an Option Set within Dynamics?

Hi everyone

I have a field called 'Type' on the Contacts Entity within my Dynamics CRM. 'Type' is a Multi Select Option Set with 8 possible values (and, of course, more than 1 value can be assigned against each Contact).

When I view the 'Type' field in PowerBI / ExcelI just get a series of numbers which are the Option Set Values as shown below. So, if a Contact is an Alumna, I will just see the value of 157420000 rather than the word Alumna.

Where are the actual Options stored in CRM (i.e. the word Alumna) so that I'm able to link this table to the Contacts table and see the words rather than the Option Set Values?

there is an endpoint called OptionSetMetadata, but if your goal is to use the display name inside Power BI there are several posts about this topic:
