Backing up AOT object/s

I would like to know about backing up/exporting AOT object/s, because I was messing around with extensions and accidentally deleting it, without any way of recovering it.

I found some information about exporting Application Objects by Using the AOT, located in https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa605219.aspx ,but that was for [AX 2012]. I can no longer find such an option in the current version of Dynamics 365.

Help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

PS: It would be fantastic if someone could tell me how to import the backed up Application Objects back into the AOT, thanks.

    Hi Lincoln Poh,

To prevent these kind of issues you need to use version control stoneridgesoftware.com/setting-up-version-control-in-dynamics-365-for-operations-with-visual-studio

Also you can simply take a copy of AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory folder that contains all source code files.
