Good morning all,
We are struggling on creating relationships between leads (in our case, origin = Marketing activty) that become an opportunity, and then from then to check which ones become real business (in order to get a good ROI metrics of our marketing expenditures).
Is there any relationship where we can get such info?
I have tried to export the whole number of columns possible in "All Leads" and in "All Opportunities" to see if there is any ID that is the same in both cases, but I can't find any.
Appreciate any support on this topic a lot.
Thanks.
Thanks a lot, very much appreciated.
Hello,
Yes such relationship exists! On a Lead you have the lookup field 'Qualifying Opportunity'. When you qualify a lead the created opportunity will be recorded in that field.
You can also add the field to the Lead Form via customization.
An Opportunity will typically be closed as won in order to record the it became real business. So basically you would look for opportunities that have been closed as won, and aggregate the revenue recorded. You can do that aggregation on the Source Campaign or Source Customer Journey if you are using Dynamics 365 for Marketing.
Try creating a Char ton the Opportunity and you can see the revenue for your opportunities by source campaign.
I'm using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sales & Marketing modules. Thanks.
Hi Rosemary,
Are you running Dynamics 365 for Marketing or are you using Enterprise Marketing?
Thanks,
Megan
