My contact card in Outlook (first image) does not look like the examples in https://www.sherweb.com/blog/dynamics-365/13-reasons-use-dynamics-365-crm/ (second image). The fonts and formatting are much better in the second.
Any help appreciated.
I was using the correct field but had previously removed and re-added it on the form. Once you have taken it off, I don't think you can get the formatting back even if you put the field back on the form. I had to export an unedited version of the form from a different environment and it is now working again.
Hi partner,
Yes, this is really related to the "App for Outlook Contact Quick View" form.
The Company Name field is a custom field instead of the OOB field, which is why it is not the default format.
If you want to restore it into the default format, you need to put the OOB "Compant Name" field in the "App for Outlook Contact Quick View" form.
Go to the form editor of the "App for Outlook Contact Quick View" form, double click the "Compant Name" field, then click Details tab, click the Edit button, we can see its field attributes.
If the Name is parentcustomerid, then it is the OOB field. If not, it is the custom field, we should replace it with the OOB field.
Come back to the form editor of the "App for Outlook Contact Quick View" form, remove the custom "Compant Name" field, then chose the OOB "Compant Name" field on the right and put it in the form. Save and publish.
In this case, it should become the default format.
Thanks. Why is the formatting for the recipient info and account info different? The account info looks much better. However, my account info is displaying differently to the v9.0 examples. Any idea why that would be? As far as I'm aware this is using the "App for Outlook Contact Quick View" form
Hi p.axtell
The version of D365 in second image is v8.2.
You can find same image in v8.2 official doc:
Much has been changed in the app for Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement apps version 9.0.
So we can't do exactly the same appearance as previous version such as icons, fonts and its color.
However, the interface will look better if you upload image for Contact(Recipient), populate fields and add some relevant records.
And you'll find that it structure is similar to the previous version on the whole.
You could take the newest doc as reference:

Hi partner,
That's why their interfaces aren't exactly the same.
You could refer to this official document to know how to use Dynamics 365 App for Outlook Version 9.x:
