SQL error in AX Environment

Hi,

My sincere apologies for posting this question here, this may not be related to AX specifically. My AX server has Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with AX 2012 R3 RTM and SQL server 2014 SP1 CU3.

While I'm working in AX or when I open SQL management studio I get an error PopUp:

"Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.StorageClient, Version=12.0.0.0 or one of its dependencies. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."


I'm not able to login into SQL management studio now.

Please help if anyone has come across a similar problem.

    Hi,

    Could anyone tell me how to understand or troubleshoot this issue?. I checked in SQL error logs already, there is no trace of this error in that.

    Hi,

    Did you configure SQL Server shared tools across both instances (2012 and 2014) ?

    I suspect an installation configuration issue here.
