AX 2012 - Automatically Expand Form to Contents

Hi all,

  I have a form with two grids.  The first grid has a lot of columns and the form is not wide enough to display all of them.  For this reason, the first grid is being shown with a horizontal scrollbar.

  How can I make the form to expand to its contents such that the columns in the first grid are all shown without the horizontal scrollbar?  Thanks.

    Having a grids with scrollbars is generally considered a bad practice. You should remove some fields from the grid and put them somewhere else. It's like when you're switching from a Simple list to the Simple list and details pattern.

    Hi Martin,

     Yes.  That is one of the things that I intend to do.  However, I think that on a normal screen, the form should still fit even if all the columns in the grid are expanded (given that the form's width expands automatically).  Is there a way to make the form expand so that all of its contents are shown without the need for scrollbars?
