I would like to export what I did create using Layout, how could this be achieved as I cannot find anything related to it.

Please note that I am using Mixed Reality Glasses and not HoloLens ( just in case there is a different work around)

    Hi Elena,

To move the layout to your PC:

    1. Connect the HoloLens to the PC using the USB cable.

    2. Open the Dynamics 365 Import Tool (Preview), and then select the HoloLens name.

    3. Select the check box on the layout you want to send to your PC, and then select Send.

Also, the Layout User Guide is a helpful resource.

      Hope this helps!

      Thanks,
      Sheri

    Hi Elena,

I missed your most recent post.

To use the Layout application you will need a HoloLens device and/or a Windows Mixed Reality immersive headset

    Thanks,

    Sheri

    Hello Sheri,

Windows Mixed Reality immersive headset are already in place and tested successfully, although i do not find any action in order to visualize my work on my PC. I will need to see my design maybe as a 3D image at the end. For example i am working on a living room and i am doing different furniture positioning etc., when i am done with my work using the Windows Mixed Reality immersive headset i can save it and the Layout is saved on the Import Tool. How will i be able then to export the specific work into a visualized way that my customer for example can see it without the need of the Layout app and the Windows Mixed Reality immersive headset?

    Thanks,

    Elena

    Hi Elena,

You can export the model as .glb using the Import Tool. Right-click on the layout’s thumbnail and select “Export…” from the pop-up context menu.

The resulting .glb should be viewable in any glb viewer (e.g. https://sandbox.babylonjs.com/).

Please let us know if that works for you!
