e-Commerce site displays a 404 error message after deployment

Hi all,

I've deployed a new cloud-hosted environment under my LCS project and have followed all documented steps to deploy and configure both the RCSU as well as the e-commerce website. I've received a success message on both. I've then completed pending tasks such as activating the required batch jobs as well as performing a full sync to the related scXXXX channel database.

I can now access D365 as well as the e-commerce builder, but the e-commerce storefront (the "website") is displaying a 404 message and I can't find the reason for it. Any help?

Note: this is an internal environment for demo purposes.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Luiz,

The issue could happen when you create a different website and don't provide the domain path.

    Which version are you testing?

    Hi,

As this is an internal environment for demo purposes, the domain inserted was the suggested in the documentation (www.fabrikan.com), although the website url is published under https://<my environment name>-eval.commerce.dynamics.com/

The version is the latest, PU43 10.0.10 (Platform build version7.0.5600.35524)

Commerce scale unit: Version 9.20.20080.4 (10.0.10)

Extension: Commerce Preview Demo Base Extension Published on 2/24/2020 Extension version 1.0.0.0

    Hi,

Does it work after adding  /?domain=www.fabrikam.com   suffix after the default URL?

Indeed it works! Thank you for the suggestion. I ended up finding the same by chance, because the page "preview" feature added that same suffix and the home page was properly loaded.

Still, the website as a whole seems to be glitching in some aspects:

    1. The filtering / refining structure at the category level is not displayed at all (missing that nice price slider and other attributes)

    2. The customer sign-in (after successfull sign-up and account activation) ends up in a HTTP 500 error message..

Any help on what could be causing these?

    Hi guys,

Any similar experiences for the points 1 and 2 above on your environments?

It is working after adding ?/domain=www.fabrikam.com but I could not access the default website https://<ecommerce-tenant>.dynamics365commerce.ms straight out of the LCS site where it gives error 404. Also I have published all the pages in the site builder. I think the default site should be assigned to the base url without the domain query string.
