Data Migration Preview Error - Incorrect syntax near 's'. Unclosed quotation mark after the character string '

I've created a new entity, then created a new processing group for that entity.  I have scaled back my import file to 1 field and it generates the source mapping & validates ok.  However, when I go to "preview" the data (or even if I move onto staging it) I get the following error:

Incorrect syntax near 's'.

Unclosed quotation mark after the character string '    AND B.[PARTITION]=5637144576'.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?  I'm new to AX and learning just so you don't assume I know the basics.

Thanks, -Tom

    Hi Tom,

Did you use a csv file for import? What values did you use for the column and row delimiter in the data source format? For a normal csv file u will have to setup {CR}{LF} as row delimiter. Do you have a little preview of the file itself?

The data source format is comma delimited with CR/LF as row delimiter from a CSV file.

I scaled back the import file to 1 field just to get passed this error.  The csv file looks like this:

    AccountNum

    28310

I should add that this is a "custom entity" that I created using the DMF "Create a custom entity for data import/export" menu option.

It's pretty basic which has got me puzzled.

For which table have you created the new entity? Have you checked if the generated class is complete?

It is a new table I created to hold vehicle information.  The only field I'm trying to import right now is the account number just to get the import to work without error.  The DMF wizard automatically creates the class for the table that I want to create an entity for.  It appears to be created ok and is similar to other tables that I have create entities for.

Scratch this problem....I deleted the processing group and recreated it and the data imports to the staging area ok.

Being new to AX I need to remember to try undoing and redoing first before I bother others.  Thanks so much for responding though.

In addition to that : the fact you recreated the processing group probably get you in the situation where you did not have special caracters within the Processing Group Name field anymore (DMFDefinitionGroup.DefinationGroupName). I have just discovered that (with R3 CU12) while fixing the same issue.
