Intercompany accounting in Dynamics 365 Finance I am learning this intercompany course and in the lab trying to complete the intercompany setup. The first 2 steps all done and I can see audit trail and related party transactions. I also did balance check before post.
However, in the USP2 company, although I can see there is an intercompany transaction, I can't see the bank balance increase and there is no transaction. This means the $ has NOT been transferred through the intercompany post... ( USP2 company balance hasn't increased by $1m with no transaction, bank balance still sitting at $894,747))

Can you please advise why / which step I might have missed ?

Intercompany accounting in Dynamics 365 Finance

Hi,

I believe the instructions provided to inquire about transactions in USP2 may not be accurate in the Lab. Based on the lab scenario, the transaction is posted using the USMF OPER bank in company USMF, which means the impact is on the bank subledger in USMF. The offset is posted to ledger account 110110 in company USP2, which is a control account, not a bank subledger.

As a result:
The bank balance in the USMF subledger will be reduced by 1M.
The ledger balance in USP2 will be increased by 1M.

If you want to verify the balance in USP2, you should not check the bank balance, but instead go to inquire Ledger balances of account 110110 in the company USP2
