Workflow: Escalation vs Delegation vs Reassign

Hello,

can anyone help me understand and possibly provide scenarios when to Escalation vs Delegation vs Reassign a workflow? They seem to achieve the same thing - send the tasks to other users.

If a manager delegates/reassigns the task to another user, will the workflow still follow the escalation path?

Lastly, whoever the task is delegated/escalated/reassigned to, I assume that user should have security permission to complete the task?

Hi Joy,

Escalation. Delegation, reassign will have its own features. Escalation is a rule that will be setup in the workflow configuration to assign to the next user when they are not done in timely manner.

For the second one i think the escalation rules will be applicable for delegated users also.

For the last one - to complete the task delegated user must have security access to that workflow.
