Access Denied: You do not have sufficient permissions to open the menu item SysCompanyChooser.

Hi,

One of our users is getting following error when he is trying to change company.

Access Denied: You do not have sufficient permissions to open the menu item SysCompanyChooser.
Please contact your system administrator.

I checked the menu item and found that it is added in a privilege which is part of 'System user' security role. The user is already assigned this role but still he is getting this error. I also tried to add the corresponding privilege 'Select company accounts' to a custom which is assigned to user but still it is not working.

We are using Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations, Enterprise edition Update 12 (7.0.4709.41182).

Any help in resolving this issue will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Haroon

    Hi Andre,

Thanks for your help. Your provided hint worked. Actually, there was a 'Sub role' assigned in a custom role which has denying access for the company selection. Removing that role worked.

    Hi Haroon,

Does this user have more roles assigned? Possibly there is a role where a privilege had been overridden and is denying access now? From the Security configuration form, it is possible to explicit deny access and then it overrides all other permission for the same menu item.
