Missing retail transaction in HQ and re-run upload session if it's deleted

Each hour batch job runs to replicate retail transactions to HQ. Normally this creates in AX several Upload sessions with Status=Applied (10-15 session per hour for each store, 10-40 retail transactions/hour/store).

Some times one or more retail transactions are not replicated to the HQ. My investigation didn't find the reason:

  • Check local DB and find out replication counter and upload session ID for missing transaction.
  • Check the xml file and see missing data there.
  • Check status of upload sessions - it's "Applied".

Any idea why this happens in Ax2012R3. Noticed that the rest of transactions within the period (one hour) are replicated successfully.

We usually resolve the problem by starting re-run on the upload session. But if the session is already deleted how should fix this problem? (The parameter Retention period is set to 5 days and some times we find out missing data after the session is deleted).

    Hi Galia Handjieva,

I investigate at this moment a very similar scenario. (The only difference is that in my case, the session gets canceled status). After I re-run, the package is properly applied. (Any news I will update this post)

    Some considerations:

        - If possible increase the retention days.

        - Review if there are any customizations that make the update in retailTransactionTable (Channel DB) (or similar tables in P-001 job)

        - Check if there are no table locks when the process is performed for multiple stores, or if another process is running together (calc and post statements)

        - Check in Lifecycle Services this incident. Maybe, this incident can help you, if the retention period is over.

3211092 Transactions are not getting pulled to store HQ

    .

    I Hope this Helps!

    Regards,

    Rodolfo Recalde.

    Hi, Rodolfo,

    thanks for your reply.

We decreased retention period by MS recommendation for speed up replication and process status messages.

We have customization updating retailTransactionTable. But there are other standart processes that update this table (calculate/post statement,...). Do you have something special in mind?

Incident 3211092 will be helpful if nothing else could be done. I can't imagine the size of the file that contains all retail transactions form the first working day of the store. And how long will take to upload this file in AX.

    Hi,

I'm guessing the some customizations that make the update retailTransactionTable (and related tables) without discard the TransactionId in POS.

Please, try to increase the recurrence time of job"P-001", To verify that this behavior changes. In my case it is occurring less frequently. (But still occurs, eventually...strange things happen...)

    Regards,

    Rodolfo Recalde.

I forgot to mention that in addition to the batch job every day at the and of the day the store manager processes the job P-001 manually to replicate the latest transaction and calculate statement. It's possible the second replication is started while the batch process still running.
