How to rename PDF file automatically during export

Hi all,

Export to PDF in Model-driven App is very limited: each time users must rename the file with the ID code of the current form offered.

Users don't want to export the PDF file with the template name and manually rename it (for example rename with Quote ID code)!

How to capture a column value during SAVE AS to PDF in order to automatically rename the file? Is there a workaround? Some advice?

Hi DAVID PEZZOLI,

Unfortunately, there is no OOTB to do this. 'Export to PDF' is a system dialog, there is no way to do some customization. You can create a new idea here to progress this feature:

This would be a useful feature. Although nowadays there are many convenient online editors that significantly simplify the work. By the way, I was recently recommended a good online editor and converter https://pdfguru.com/forms/dd-1750-form which I’m now using to fill out DD Form 1750 and test other features. I like the user-friendly interface and the wide range of formats available for conversion. A big plus for me is also the ability to annotate PDF files in this editor.
