First thing, are you able to browse retail server URL from browser ?

    Ex: https://<server-name>:<port>/<RetailServer>/v1/$metadata

I would recommend you to validate your Retail and Real-Time service parameters again in AX.

I get a certificate error.  Is that not right?  What should I be getting in the browser when you use this URL?

If you are getting certificate error, you can create new Self sing certificate from IIS and update. If you browse the URL, you will get output like this.

Now I am getting this error:

    1680.Capture01.JPG

I used the Retail Channel Configuration Utility and with the same information I get this error.  Any clue what this error is from?

Also for the self signed certificate how do you get to that xml file?  Is it the same as the URL you posted above?

We have a self signed certificate on our server.  The question is how does it tie into Modern POS?

If the retail server installed and configured properly, URL will generate XML file in the browser. Please activate MPOS with below details :

    1. Server URL
    • It’s your retail server URL. Your retail server URL looks like this.
    Ex: https://<server-name>:<port>/<RetailServer>/v1
    Server name: Your server name
Port: Customized port, which you have given during installation
    2. Device Number:
AX >> Retail >> Common >> Retail Channels >> Retail Stores >> Registers >> Devices
    3. Terminal ID:
AX >> Retail >> Common >> Retail Channels >> Retail Stores >> Registers >> Register number
    4. Operator ID and Password:
    AX>>Retail>>Workers

I hope you got much information on this topic.

    All the best

Basically in a nutshell me and my colleague got it working.

    We did the following:

    1. Put Retail Server and Real Time Services on the same server.

    2. Installed the Self Server Certificate on each tablet (in Personal, Trusted Root and Trusted Publishers stores).

    3. Made sure Real Time Services URL was accessible through IE and had no certificate errors.

    4. Setup Modern POS with direct connection using the Retail Channel Configuration Utility.

    And it worked!

    Thanks for your help though!

    Hey,

I'm currently getting the same error, DA1001. I checked the RTS URL and it has a certificate error still. I was wondering how you solved this issue.

    Thanks!
